Two TRKFLD bags will be raffled off tonight at the Paradigm Gallery, at 2020 South Street, during the Developing Decay show opening. The raffle tickets for our bags are $2 and are filled with artsy goodies from from El Toro, Robots Will KIll, and Developing Decay .
“Developing Decay” is a collaborative exhibition of art work in various mediums created by Philadelphia artists on the topic of Community Development in Philadelphia neighborhoods. The event is being hosted by Emma Branson and Yis Goodwin (of McJawn/nosego)
Cupcakes and wine will also be served! Who could resist? The show is from 6-10!
Even though it has been quite rainy these past few days, it is starting to smell like summer here in Philly. TRKFLD was out to play at the first big block party of the season, this past Saturday on 12th and Green Streets. Block Shock was hosted by Daniella Sansotta and DJ Ed Blammo. Vendors sold artwork, clothing, and other handmade goodies all day, as well as live music by Post Post, Shawn Ryan, Flufftronix, and Instamatic.
Also, the day was filled with hula-hooping and TRKFLD bag-wearers. Are we the last to learn about this hula hooping trend?
If you’re around Philly check out the Design Does exhibition at the Crane Arts building in Northern Liberties. Our intern here at TRKFLD, Kylie, who is also a University of the Arts student, helped curate the show, which opened this past Friday.
The show contains design work from UARTS students in the Graphic Design, Multimedia, Industrial Design, Masters of Industrial Design, and Museum Studies Departments. This is the first time this has been done at the school- so it’s super exciting. It contains all different types of work– from games, to installations, to up and coming record labels!
The show will be up at the Ice Box of the Crane until Wednesday, May 5th.
